About Me

My photo

Pragmatic, reserved and a deep thinker who loves family, sports especially football where am married to two wives: the first, AC Milan who has my loyalty and the second wife, Manchester United who has all my undying love and pampering, lifestyle and society parties. Need I say the law is more than a profession but a lifestyle for me.

Adekanye Adeyinka Olajide.

I do it for me

STAY ON YOUR GRIND!

There is always that moment when nothing seems to happen the way you want it to and no matter what you try, you just keep tying the knots further rather than loosening it. As if that is not enough, everyone around you starts to criticise you for the wrong decisions you made that landed you in your predicament. At this moment, you just cannot get the monkey off your back and the punches keeps pummelling you all about as if you are in manila between barricades of ropes with no escape.

This is nearly the toughest moment of anyone’s life because one is not only down, but contrary to the saying that “when a man is down, it is not the time to condemn him but rather, to stretch forth a helping hand,” people not only crucify you for your faults, they assault you with a barrage of accusations and oversights. They constantly remind you that you refused to yield to their warnings and therefore, you are the architect of your situation.

Some even go as far as playing the role of a future gazer by revealing to you that they knew this was going to happen to you and that was why they insisted on you doing things their own way. Trust me, you just run out of words in defence of your actions because after all, if you had excelled in it, you will not be subject to that many judgments. I know how complicated this is for I have been through those moments a few times and I know I will still be in them many more times.

Therefore, no matter what mess you are in, I got just one sentence for you today: stay on your grind. The truth is no one foresaw your future and at those moments you took the decisions you did, they were the best available to you then and no matter the downward spiral trend you might be on now, it is all a learning curve. Do not let anyone make you feel terrible than you already do. Keep on at it and stay on your grind until results show that you took the right turn.

Trust me; it is only after you survive drowning that you can determine tides. No matter what moment you are in now or how quickly the sands are caving under your foot, keep working at it. You have to go through it to come out of it. Stay at it, be true to yourself, and focus on the goal rather than the challenges. Do not let the words of other tear down your expectation because from experience, when you go through the storm, the sun shines most in its prime and you always emerge a victor. You can only possess the joy of victory after paying the price for success, which makes you appreciate all the torrid moments more.

Do have yourselves an incredibly God filled weekend.

Hearty cheers,
ADEKANYE ADEYINKA .O.
