About Me

My photo

Pragmatic, reserved and a deep thinker who loves family, sports especially football where am married to two wives: the first, AC Milan who has my loyalty and the second wife, Manchester United who has all my undying love and pampering, lifestyle and society parties. Need I say the law is more than a profession but a lifestyle for me.

Adekanye Adeyinka Olajide.

I do it for me

As I reminisce on those precious and unrecoverable years full of fun, I simply #smh and burst into uncontrollable laughter. Sure you would be wondering what is racing through my head at this moment, hmm…..
Yeah, it is my music enigma Mr Innocent Idibia more known as #2FACEIDIBIA that I love so much as a boy growing into man I am now. Ooh, did I just say love, I practically idolise Tu baba as he stands alongside #Sir Alex Ferguson, #Sean Carter and my grandma, Chief Mrs A.O Adesanya in my ranks of role models for their various achievements.
I recall those numerous times I argued blindly with my associate about my love for this man, way back. We would stay up late, many a funky night discussing loads of entertainment issues and most definitely our personal lives.

The very first time I met in person this humble megastarwas in 2005 - somewhere in Ogun State, Illishan to be precise where my swaggalicious  younger brother’s friend; a family friend by the way organised a mammoth entertainment  event  for his #Babcock school mates and I got a VIP ticket to attend. The memory of that day lingers as if it were last night to me. 2face was at his audacious best not minding a few audience. He was full of emotions like any decent human as he was just on his way to becoming an international star. Of course he was by then a household name; never mind the debate of how good he was among my social circle, at least a non existing star would not court such attention to provoke many debates.

Fortunately and unfortunately if I may say, the event was not well attended because the ever well disciplined school refused many of its students permission. But then the few of us were left to savour the well seasoned star in what turned to be a private show. #Basketmouth, though listed for the show, was unavoidably absent due to his involvement in an accident. On hand was klint da drunk who called himself Mr Damager rather than Mr Manager to make our day a most unforgettable one - with a few other artistes present.
No matter how much you hear about the humility and the tranquility around Tu baba, nothing comes close to being with the legendary African Queen crooner himself. Many years after, I am still startled to observe that the multiple award winning musician married to Annie is unchanged despite his meteoric rise compared to some other celebrities who forget their upbringing once they reached their pinnacle. He is a natural born superstar when you consider his legendary status not just an African fact by the way, his wealth, not to mention how well he is sailing through his family controversies - I dare say many would have fallen by the way side if anything close happens negatively to their careers. His list of honours and awards from that MTV base awards in #Portugal in 2005, where “obrigado” became popular are jaw dropping if we decide to mention one after the other.

It is my modest approach using this medium to appreciate the magnificent talent the “BAALE OF NIGERIA” the Nigerian biggest export after crude oil  has and which he has used to change our world, not many Nigerians would get to sing in an event as big as the world cup! Many youths have self belief in themselves now and that no matter your background, limitations and mistakes the world is there for the taking. Many that criticised him still languish in the background not knowing the directions to go in life. With his countless accomplishments he deserves our sincere respect and praise. I remain proud of Mr Idibia and am sure many of my peers now appreciate beyond measures his daunting efforts. Gone are the days we lambast Kenny’s Music for the bad videos of his musicals, Tu himself was more than thrilled when “enter the place” won the best cinematography awards.
Many started before and with him, only a handful can stand to be counted in these days of dance-oriented but shallow musical lyrics and content. His mind-blowing concerts, deep rooted lines, cute physique, endorsements in every area, multiple awards and tranquility would sway any male and definitely more females would fall off their ever rising heels, lol.

My people, nothing dey happen, if na me be the one way they make chance, I no go spend my time and money slandering another man’s effort rather commit all to contributing significantly to development of my people thereby adding values to life! Never under estimate creativity which is more of hand and mind skill than the four walls of a classroom or certificates from all over the globe.  That which is in you that you think is too little, might turn you to our new HERO, 2faceIdibia!
